About Connie Summers

I was born in Chicago but spent most of her younger years in the south. Marrying into the military and later civil service afforded me the opportunity to live throughout the United States and abroad. During that time, I obtained my degree in accounting. I worked in the public and private sector as an Office Manager and/or CFO for over 20 years. Wanting to make a difference, I obtain the necessary education and switch professions to the social services. Prior to my so call retirement, I spent my career working with clients going through some of the most stressful and trying times of their lives. Having moved a lot, I believe the slogan, “home is where you hang your hat”. I believes, even though you may not live there forever, it is important to contribute to the community while you are calling that home. I was involved in volunteer work and sat on various boards including: Boy and Girls Club, Carbon County Museum, Rawlins Main Street, Carbon County Library, Pet Partners (SPCA), WY Workforce Development Program, Prison Re-Entry Program, The Affordable Housing Project and Adopt A Family. After my children were grown I decided to return to college for personal enrichment and enjoyed it so much I went on to receive a BA in History with a Minor in Political Science and a Minor in Native American Studies. Not stopping there, I went on to receive a MA in History with an emphasis on Political History. Moving to Delaware or as some would say – Retiring to Delaware, Iwork as the Program Director/Mediator for the Center for Community Justice in Milford 3 years before retiring, yet again. But I decided I was too young to retire and took a part-time office position with The Moving Experience Real Estate in Dover, DE. Working with agents and clients and making the MLS entries and updates among other duties, I decided I wanted to pursue real estate and became a license real estate agent. With a passion for service, I am ready to help with your homebuying and selling needs. As a proud member of The Moving Experience family, I carry the values of hard work, integrity, and outstanding client service into everything I do. My interests include working with people, special event planning, photography, cooking, hiking, and reading.
