31 years experience in the Nursing profession; excellent IV skills, patient assessment and intervention-led Rapid Response team which identified patients with deterioration of condition to prevent code blue status. Attended all code blues as House supervisor; BLS, ACLS, NRP, and TNCC certifications. Professional Preceptor certification. Obtained Master's degree in Nursing 2010. Would like to teach at the college level (Nursing). Designed and implemented Nursing Orientation program for new hires focused on skill competencies. Created a class for new grad nurses "Classroom to Care" utilizing time management, critical thinking and prioritization exercises. Assisted with yearly competency evaluations and goals/achievements. Over the past 18 months of my current Clinical Practice Manager position, I have developed and implemented a staff training module that includes competency assessment and skill building which will align with our strategic objective of achieving NCQA recognition as a Patient Centered Medical Home. The Patient Centered Medical Home Quality Initiative is an ongoing plan for transformation by implementing quality standards, developing new policies and creating new processes that enhance and grow our practice. Quality assessment and implementation has inspired me to not only transform the way we deliver care, but also the way I manage and inspire others to stretch their capabilities. In my current role of RN Care Manager, I determine patient level of risk for deterioration, design and implement a plan of care and patient education that allows them to set personal goals and measure successes.
