In my current role I am responding to and resolving fibre outages within Hyperoptics FTTP/P2P network. My job role involves fault finding fibre optic FTTP/P2P networks using visual fault indicators and OTDR testers to pinpoint the fault, and then - if need be, resplicing and/or rebuilding Fibre Distribution Nodes contained within the Openreach PIA network. From my previous job roles, I also have extensive knowledge of Data Centre Infrastructure at a high level, supporting all things from UPS and power feeds into the building right down to finding faults on server hardware and rectifying those faults. I also have experience in the installation and fault finding on Copper Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6A data cabling and OM4 and OS2 fibre connections using Fluke series testers.
