About Connor Cummings

Finding better, more efficient ways to improve the quality and quantity of work is something I’m passionate about. I bring this passion to my workplace and have had the privilege of working as a Management Trainee, which required agile, quick learning in order to assist different departments around Cape Cod Five, further increasing bank efficiencies. I’ve been able to assist Cape Cod Five in the Banking Centers, Community Engagement department, Residential and Consumer Lending as an Underwriting Assistant, Underwriter, Closer and QC Post Closer, and currently in the Risk and Compliance department. I have helped develop more efficient loan pipeline tracking while in QC Post Closings, assisted with a vendor repository migration, developed a SOC report tracking system for vendor due diligence, and designed a roadmap and implemented a new vendor contracts repository that provides up to date automated contract tracking with scalability and failsafe features for both Cape Cod Five and its Mutual Holding Company. I’m also helping to design an attorney and appraiser management process, ensuring GLBA, cybersecurity and industry standard compliance. Other current job responsibilities include bank GLBA compliance, assisting with vendor management, complaint management and various risk related functions. Outside of work, I’m passionate about business. While going for my Masters, I started a bow tie business where I learned to sew by watching YouTube videos and scaled the business to include handmade dog collars, leashes, keychains, totes and decals. I had the honor to sell my products in over 25 stores from Maine to Tennessee. After a few years, I used the profits to then open Seagulls Ice Cream, where in our free time, outside of our day jobs (yes, we were crazy enough to also be working full time day jobs), you could find my husband and I slinging ice cream with our team of 12 employees. I’ve also had the honor to volunteer for EforAll, mentoring new start up businesses and helping them achieve their dreams. I also volunteered for the Harwich Cranberry Festival as a social media manager and interim show coordinator. My husband and I are also proud foster parents, helping bring happiness and stability to children’s lives during difficult times. I love what I do and love increasing efficiencies in every day work that helps others and businesses thrive.
