About Connor Dalton

My name is Connor Dalton and I love anything that has to do with the Experience Industry. I obtained a Recreation Management Degree from the Marriott Business School of Management at Brigham Young University. With this degree, I have been pursuing a career in community recreation, experience design and attempting to influence people's lives for the better. I started to grow in this is industry at the young age of 15 where I worked for four years as a staff member of special events for the Parks and Recreation Department of Oro Valley. I thoroughly enjoyed helping run the basketball clinics during the winter where I taught basketball skills to groups of 30 children ages 6 to 9. For many years since then, I have helped supervise over 80 children each summer during “fun” camps where we all participate in sport activities and creative art projects. These experiences helped fuel my career development as I also worked for the Northwest YMCA of Tucson, Arizona for a time. At the YMCA, I helped manage a teen and youth center for two years running activities for about 20 kids each day. These activities ranged from unorganized dodge ball to summer sport camps where we taught various sports in organized settings to over 80 children each week. Currently, I am the Assistant Recreation Manager for the Town of Oro Valley Community Center. I enjoy working each day to positively influence the community. From healthy living tips, to spreading information, and occasionally taking a tai chi class, I help to keep the facility running and deliver the best experiences that I can to the community members that attend. I look forward to continuing my professional development in Experience Industry Management as I seek out new opportunities for growth all around me, in all different forms.
