About Connor M. Evans

In the last 5 years, I have listened to books on Audible. Whenever I have an insight or see how concepts connect in a new way, I take a bookmark and I add notes with relevant emojis that then sync to the cloud. It has become an extension of my brain that lives in my pocket, so I have access to it at any time. I started with The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle which resonated more deeply with me than any teaching I had ever heard. I dove into contemporary applications of Eastern Wisdom traditions and the physics of quantum mechanics. I began to enjoy life on a much deeper level than ever before, and I began to see society in a very different way. It was the stimulus that shifted my values, world view, and interests. Within a few short months I went from pursuing a yacht, jet, mansions, and a fleet of super cars to having my primary focus be the evolution of my consciousness and simplicity. My next great interest emerged from an international business class, in which I was required to read a book by Thomas L. Friedman. I chose Hot, Flat and Crowded. This was my introduction to the unprecedented and non-linear situations that my generation is going to have to work with on an entirely new level of consciousness if we want to avoid the destruction of Earth’s ecosystems and the collapse of civilization. Again, I dove in and listened to every perspective I could find: climate science, corporate influence on governments, free trade deals, the fossil fuel industry's relentless campaign to confuse the public on climate science, and the connections between the international banking syndicate and the oil companies. Most importantly, I have uncovered real world solutions to the current global ecological crisis and I have looked in depth at why the technologies we have had and have needed, have not been brought to scale.
