About Connor Oren

I love to dig into customer problems to solve them using modern technology and mechanical engineering know-how. I started my career in product development devising solutions for complex issues in the Diesel engine industry and have since grown my area of expertise to include process development, UI/UX application work, and project management. I have taken on several roles in my career over the years, both in the Fortune 500 space and with smaller startups with a dozen employees. In that time I learned the following about myself: I can lead several programs at once from the technical side and deliver stellar results- I focus on stakeholder input and put the customer goals at the center of everything I do - My system of organization and ensuring all team members are aligned has allowed me to lead half a dozen major programs simultaneously with Cummins Filtration that ended with product released to full production - My background understanding of ASME GD & T, program management, and PPAP standards has allowed me to manage technical team deliverables at an accelerated pace I love to learn new things and expand my engineering knowledge in any direction- I am a self-taught application developer and have released multiple successful app to the Apple Store - I have learned every step of the process bringing an idea to fruition by learning to weld, operate CNC machines, design and analyze in 3D CAD software, and have utilized dozens of software systems to design quality into all my products - My capacity to learn quickly has been reflected in my time with Cummins as I was leading a technical program after only a month on the team I drive myself to be a better engineer and person in everything I do- Through my time with Cummins I lead the team in community service hours and headed up the Sons and Daughters Day event held every year - In my spare time I love to work on engines, generators, Arduino, and woodworking projects - Throughout my time in Colorado I have made it my focus to give back to the community and am a member of the Cultivate Fix-It team serving seniors in the Colorado area
