About Connor Pung

With my class in Network Systems Management and Wide Area Network Engineering, I understand the types of networks and tracing network traffic, as well as how to create and manage networks. I have maintained computer hardware and managed operating systems in Hardware and Software, and I am able to communicate with computer hardware and software after learning Python.I graduated high school as the President of National Honor Society and as Valedictorian, both of which required me to draft, practice, and publicly speak about my experiences. As a result of having both cancer at 17 and my National Honor Society role, I hosted a fundraising event for nonprofit organizations focused on the impact of cancer on children and families. I spoke about this event with two different local televised news outlets, and had an additional news interview about the incentivized walking program I started at Helen DeVos Children’s hospital. I am confident in my ability to speak publicly in front of an audience or in front of a camera due to my experience in the past three years.I'm currently working as the IT Operations Technician at The DECC Company. I've coordinated several projects, including the upgrade of our Windows 10 PCs to Windows 11, the upgrade of our Voice Over IP system hardware and software, as well as the installation of a new announcement speaker system. I have extensive experience in hardware repair and software installation, as well as managing employee support requests and solving issues. With my extensive customer service experience, I can communicate technical knowledge to a non-technical audience.
