About Connor Watson

I graduated from Tulane in 2021 with a double major in Finance and Marketing. I started my career with Cadence Bank where I completed a 6-month credit banking training program. I then transitioned to a rotational program where I rotated with two general C&I teams and a Corporate Banking team. When a position opened with the Technology Banking Team, I applied for the role.I have been with the Technology Banking Team at Cadence Bank for over 2.5 years. When I joined the team, I was a portfolio manager for 2 years, and recently, I was promoted to Assistant VP. In my role, I am the primary underwriter for potential facilities, as well as the individual in charge of current portfolio risk assessment. I also train rotating analysts with their preparation of risk reviews and other quarterly risk assessments. The Cadence Technology Banking Team primarily provides leverage for Private Equity backed acquisitions in the following verticals: Hardware, Software, and IT Services. Recently, I have also helped the team develop our Private Equity Fund Facilities vertical. I have underwritten deals for each of these verticals. Outside of work, I enjoy watching all sporting events in person and on television; however, I prefer college football over most other sports. Boomer Sooner and Roll Wave! In my free time, I play soccer and spend time with friends.
