Conor Balbo is a Managing Director at Forward Global based in New York, where he leads the group’s investor due diligence and screening solutions for private equity sponsors, private credit, M&A advisors, real estate transactions, and joint ventures. He also oversees private investigations in support of commercial litigation, specializing in the financial services industry and white-collar fraud. Previously, Conor was an Associate Director at a global financial crime consultancy and RegTech company. There, he headed the firm’s pre-IPO due diligence team, advising underwriters on reputational and integrity risks at the C-suite, board, and company level. He also led third-party risk management programs for multinational companies navigating FCPA and sanctions compliance risk. Earlier, Conor conducted open-source due diligence for corporate & investment banks evaluating high-risk accounts and counterparties. Conor is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
