About Conor Farrell

With over eight years of experience in managing grant-funded projects for international development organizations, I am a Grant Operations Manager at the IKEA Foundation, where I oversee the financial and contractual aspects of climate-related initiatives. I hold a Master's degree in Economics of Development from the International Institute of Social Studies of Erasmus University Rotterdam, with a quantitive thesis on the impact of slavery on credit scores in the US. I have a passion for finding and supporting innovative solutions to address global issues, especially those related to economic inclusion and resilience. In my previous role as a Program Manager at the World Council of Credit Unions, I led a $14 million project to build socioeconomic security for Venezuelan refugees and migrants in Peru and Ecuador, facilitating access to employment and entrepreneurship opportunities. I also have extensive experience in grants management software, having successfully led the transition from Excel-based tools to Asana Project Management software for the Finance and Contracts teams at the RCRC Climate Centre. I have strong analytical, social networking, and communication skills, and I am fluent in Spanish.
