About Conor Irwin

I joined SMBC Aviation Capital in 2018 and as SVP Communications, I lead a team that has responsibility for overseeing all stakeholder, media and digital communications alongside internal communications. I graduated from the University of Kent, with a BA in classical and archaeological studies and I also hold a postgraduate higher diploma in media and communications. Most recently, I completed a business sustainability management course with the University of Cambridge. I have a background in broadcast journalism, having been a presenter and a researcher in radio, television and print. Working in radio, television and print media has allowed me to develop high level skills in communications, IT and social media. Working as part of large and small teams to deliver excellence in communications has given me the opportunity to be creative, learn to handle high pressure situations, manage a team of people to deliver high quality output and to develop my own skills as a communicator and a team leader. I have over 15 years experience in communications with a background in media, production and research with a creative spark and a love of media and technology.
