I am an experienced payroll professional who specialises in Irish and UK payroll and compliance. I am a highly motivated, conscientious individual with experience working as part of a team and also in leading teams. I have vast experience in payroll working in a busy bureau environment where I have gained invaluable exposure to all aspects of payroll and taxation for both Irish and Uk payroll. The fast paced bureau environment has made me develop exceptional time management skills and an ability to manage and meet multiple deadlines and prioritise tasks. The bureau environment has also meant I’ve developed the ability to work effectively both as part of a team and alone. As part of my role in compliance I have responsibility for training my colleagues to follow policies and procedures in line with our ISO systems along with responsibility for auditing and ensuring compliance with these systems and engaging with external auditors annually. I am a keen learner with a hunger for personal and professional development and welcome any opportunity for further development and training. I am IPASS certified, CIPP accredited and have a LEAN Green belt qualification. I am continuously looking for ways to create efficiencies and improve the effectiveness of my work, this has seen me undertake projects to streamline aspects of payroll processing procedures in my current role and has led to my assistance in similar projects outside of payroll in the accounting function. My combination roles of payroll processing and compliance has also allowed me to develop a keen understanding of GDPR compliance and areas of IT security and best practices.
