About Conor King

I'm a twenty-eight-year veteran of drug enforcement ~ I've worked as a beat cop, undercover operator, narcotics investigator, and team leader. I've investigated drug offenses ranging from street-level sales to multi-kilogram importation ~ partnering with members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Canada Border Service Agency, Canadian Armed Forces, and U.S. Navy Criminal Investigation Service. I've been an educator in the drug enforcement community for over a decade. Teaching at the Justice Institute of British Columbia, Canadian Police College, and for the Canada Border Services Agency and BC Coroner Service. I've been a lecturer for the University of British Columbia (UBC) Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science, the UBC Faculty of Medicine, the BC College of Pharmacists, and the Canadian Health Professionals Secretariat. Mental Health and Wellness I am an advocate for the modernization of the police culture, particularly the adoption of policies that focus on the mental health of officers, and the proper assessment and treatment of occupational stress injuries.
