About Conor Looney

I am an incoming senior pharmaceutical science major at the University of Rhode Island and will be minoring in cannabis studies. I excel in competencies such as communication, technology, inclusion/equality, leadership, teamwork, and professionalism. Other interpersonal skills which I possess include dedication, resilience, outgoing, honesty, enthusiasm, and a robust work ethic. I am currently gaining experience in laboratory skills and procedures through undergraduate research assistant opportunities to prepare myself for the pharmaceutical industry. During this apprenticeship, I learned techniques of and utilized High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) in order to purify and build a catalog of DNA oligonucleotides to be later used in enzymatic reactions. I have years of experience as a manager in a fast-paced food industry environment. I often must remain calm, collected, and logical during stressful moments to identify and implement optimal solutions. I resolve challenging customer complaints to complete satisfaction, promote brand loyalty, maximize repeat business, and deliver training and leadership to boost performance and help team members achieve daily goals.
