Background

About Conor Okeeffe

I am an experienced and motivated creative project producer, with a key focus and background in mission-driven non-profit and charitable organisations. I have dedicated my career to galvanising action for positive change in the climate and environment space, through crafting award-winning impact programmes that empower the public to take positive action for the planet. With a combination of practical experience in remote fieldwork, lab and collections management, and developing educational programming at world-renowned scientific institutions and museums, it is my goal to inspire collective action to protect nature, people and the planet for generations to come. I have had the fortune to work with prestigious organisations such as the Natural History Museum and Royal Geographical Society in the London, the Australian Museum in Sydney, with work also taking me to Indonesia, Germany, the USA and Canada, advocating for nature on the international level. My specialism lies in inspiring people with a wonder for science and the natural world we are a part of, and empowering them to use this passion constructively to learn about and protect the planet we live on. I am currently putting my skills to use in conceptualising, developing and delivering high-profile educational engagements at the Natural History Museum in London in partnership with international brands and organizations. I am also an experienced science communicator and facilitator, having run workshops for the general public, hosted panel discussions for high-profile clients such as the New York Times and presented the online science-based web series,"Hidden Treasures at the Natural History Museum". In my spare time I host 'Dino DNA', a paleontology science-based discussion segment on the 'Jurassic Park Podcast' network, and have featured as a guest on many other podcasts. I have also built up my own personal Science Communication platform @conorontology on Instagram since April 2020, which has since grown to 4k followers.
