About Conor Phillips

Hello! My name is Conor Phillips. I’m an innovator, creative problem solver, passionate communicator, and aspirant serial-entrepreneur. When I grow up, I want to be just like Sir Richard Branson. Professional stuff… I’m a few years into building a tech startup called Roamlii, and things are progressing really well. We're an earlier stage startup, building a complete software system that provides small to medium sized Canadian tourism businesses with a digital command centre that manages the entire customer journey.from Discovery, to Inquiry, to Booking. We're the first of our kind, and we're also the only platform in the tourism sector that's actually built for the business' success and traveller discovery, versus just a money engine that uses them. Our overall goal is to bring the Canadian tourism industry to new heights, through connection, authentic discovery and the joy of adventures. We've come a long way, and there's more good work to do, but we're pretty darn pumped to be where we're at. I also owned and operated a small vending machine services business, Fuel2Go Vending, which I built from the ground up, and have now transitioned it to new owners. It operates with a fairly different take from traditional vending, promoting healthier and sustainable snacks and drinks, uses only high quality technology-centric machines, and aims for service excellence at all times. A tiny window into my world… When I’m not thinking about problems that need solving and businesses that need building, I’m usually biking, walking, petting someone's dog, spending time with family and friends, or tackling a home project of some kind. I garden too. One year I grew zucchini, and the bushes were so big I called them The General and its Lieutenants. I begged their pardon before plucking the fruit, lest I offend them, and they retaliated. Fast facts. I’m also a long-time student of Muay Thai Kickboxing and Kali, which is the Filipino art of stick and knife fighting. Our motto is, you might get cut, but at least you won’t get stabbed! I also thoroughly enjoy kayaking, badminton, and horseback riding. Did you know that the smell of horses is therapeutic?
