I'm used to working in a fast-paced environment and am able to think on my feet and make quick decisions. My job is to assess the patient's mental health condition and determine the appropriate next steps for treatment in collaboration with other providers. In this environment, I learned to work effectively as part of a team and also learned how to effectively communicate with patients, their families, and the providers. This position has given me an opportunity to directly assist those who are struggling with a mental health crisis and has been a valuable experience for my overall understanding of the mental health landscape.
