About Conor Smith

I am currently Programme Manager for Sodexo @ Leonardo Helicopters. Since qualifying as an Electrician in 2012, I have always pushed myself to progress my career. Starting at Sodexo in 2016 as a 12 hour shift maintenance Electrician; I participated in a team to maintain all electrical services on site. This work varied from PPM tasks RM tasks and minor projects works. After a year in this role I seized an opportunity to expand my trade skills, by putting myself through my FGAS qualification. This put me in to a prime position to progress to supervisor, which I achieved in 2020. Whilst in my role as Electrical Supervisor; I implemented new ways of working, successfully managed a team of engineers through change to ensure compliance. In 2022 I was promoted to Lifecycle Manager, which in a matter of months changed to Projects Manager; successfully securing our companies biggest ever project with our client. As I continue to deliver this 2.5year program of works, I have continued to develop myself, gaining my PRINCE 2, CMI Managing People Level 3 and have started my NEBOSH construction international. After less than a year as Project Manager, I have now been promoted to my current role as Programme Manager. This role will allow me to continue to deliver projects, but also lead a team to produce a Net Zero Carbon Roadmap for our client.
