About Conrad Surratt

With nearly 10 years of experience at McDonald's, I’ve had the privilege of growing both personally and professionally. Starting as a Crew Member, I steadily progressed through various roles including Crew Trainer, Shift Manager, and ultimately Department Manager. Along the way, I developed a strong foundation in leadership, problem-solving, and operational efficiency. But more importantly, my time at McDonald's taught me the value of hard work, teamwork, and adaptability, which are skills that I’m eager to bring with me into my next chapter. As my career evolved, so did my ambitions. After meeting my wife, I found new motivation to push forward and create a stable future for us. This led me to pursue a degree in Network Security. I'm nearing the completion of my studies and have also earned several certifications in IT. I’m excited to soon apply these skills in a professional IT environment, where I can continue to grow and contribute. During my time at McDonald's, I also had the opportunity to work with the Operations Technology Professionals (OTP) program, where I gained hands-on experience with IT troubleshooting, working with devices like POS systems, credit card readers, and printers. This experience has laid a strong foundation for my transition into IT help desk support. On a personal note, I’m also preparing to welcome a new chapter in my life with the upcoming arrival of our child this year. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife, friends, and family, as well as pursuing hobbies like tennis, hiking, and playing video games. I’ve even had the honor of ranking #10 in Illinois for Smash Ultimate, which was a fun challenge that taught me perseverance and strategic thinking. As I transition into my IT career, I’m excited to take on new challenges and contribute my skills in network security, IT troubleshooting, and customer support. I look forward to connecting with other professionals and continuing my journey in this ever-evolving field.
