About Constance Chapman

At this point in my career, I am anxious to work at a job that does not require so much homework. Although most of my work experience includes teaching English at the college level, I do have experience as an Administrative Assistant for the President of British Petroleum Nutrition in New York City and Director of a summer program at Georgia State University for three years. For these two positions, I was responsible for planning travel, instruction, scheduling appointments, and composing correspondence for the president of BP Nutrition and supervising three staff members, managing the budget and writing progress reports for the summer program at Georgia State. My first corporate experience was working as an editor at Harcourt Brace Jovanovich in New York. There, I was responsible for a project that required research, interviewing, hiring photographers writing copy and working with the art department to produce brochures about possible jobs young people could pursue. There were four other editors in my department, each one working on other projects. My project, that earned the company several hundred thousand dollars, was the only one that reached publication before the company moved to California.
