Teacher of Buddhist-based meditation, especially for beginners, contemplative pedagogy, and the art of living with joy and meaning. Specialties: Specializing in the areas of alternative education and pedagogy, specifically in the areas of Buddhist philosophy and meditation presented for the Western mind in Western cultural contexts. Have developed and am currently teaching the following courses:*ABC della Meditazione*: A secular introduction to the mind and to basic meditation techniques and components presented for beginners in 3 modules, including a short retreat experience.*The Art of Happiness (L'Arte della Felicità)*: a 9-month program of monthly experiential and contemplative weekends centered around the book "The Art of Happiness" by the Dalai Lama and Howard Cutler, Ph.D. Taught together with neuroscientist Nicola de Pisapia of the University of Trento-Rovereto.*Cultivating Compassion: Cognitive and Contemplative Training to Develop Compassion*. A 6-day training in 2 modules for the cultivation and deepening of one's capacity for empathy and compassion in life. Includes a yearly 7-day summer intensive meditation retreat.*The art of connecting with kids and teens (L'arte di connettersi agli adolescenti e ai bambini)*: A 3-weekend course for teachers, parents, and anyone who spends time with young people. Taught together with Valentina Giordano (goasariver.com), teacher of mindfulness for children. Summer self-care retreat for teachers Summer intensive retreat on compassion. Experience in developmental editing, copy-editing, proofreading, and fact-checking. Project and manuscript management from submission through editing, design, and publication.
