As a Senior Data Engineer at OMERS, Capital Market Finance, I design and develop data solutions that support the investment and risk management functions of one of Canada's largest pension funds. With over 10 years of experience in the finance and investment sector, I have a strong expertise in data domains such as securities, transactions, positions, analytics, and prices. I have successfully delivered projects such as the MSCI Risk Manager, the Dataplex Enterprise Data Warehouse, the Project Edge for Performance Attribution and the Initial Margin Regulatory Project, using technologies such as SQL, Python, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, SQL Server Integration Services, Eagle Pace, and Informatica. I also provide subject matter expertise on Eagle Pace Data Warehouse and champion DevOps and CI/CD automation. I hold an MBA with a focus on Finance, an Azure data Engineer certification and currently completing the Georgia Institute of Technology’s Master of Science in Analytics with focus on Data Science, Machine Learning, Python and R. I am an avid learner and passionate about Data Science. I have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders. I work independently and I thrive in a fast-paced environment.
