About Constantin Cheptea

I've spent 12+ years at the intersection of engineering, product thinking, and people — and the thing I care about most is the problem, not the tools. That philosophy has helped me become adaptable. At Crafting Software, I led work across Android, iOS, Unity3D, React Native, Node.js, Java, Kotlin, Swift, Elixir, and Erlang — not because I chased the stack, but because each project had an interesting problem worth solving. The "A-ha" moments along the way are what I find most rewarding.Leading teams has reinforced three things I believe deeply:→ Empowered teams outperform managed ones. Trust people with real ownership, and they'll care about the problem the way you do.→ If you don't measure, you can't improve — in tech and in people development. Pragmatism over polish.→ Make yourself redundant. The best signal that I'm doing my job well is when someone on my team is ready to step into my role.
