I never used to eat avocados. Well I did, but they were never something I would buy for myself. I would never greet my waiter with a fuss if my burrito was heaped with guac, but I too would never discern the taste and actually pick some up on my grocery run. For the longest time avocados for me were a food exclusively ate by happenstance. That was, until recreating a restaurant recipe, I tasted my first avocado on its own, and discovered the most versatile ingredient I'll ever know. While I don't want to say that my passion for writing makes the value of my work equivalent to that of an avocado, I will say that when I learned to apply my writing style properly, everything started tasting better. Be it in a salad, burrito bowl, or on vegemite toast, I feel confident that my writing ability, and expertise in applying context and research makes me as versatile a professional as anyone, who works well with any other ingredients, and makes any meal all the more delicious.
