About Cooper Tinto

Constantly adapting to new environments, people, and cultures is the best way to summarize my childhood. Before the age of 14, I lived in six different states; before I was 18, I traveled to all 50. The experience of moving is not always easy, but it has made me obsessed with putting myself in new environments and trying to challenge myself to do things I have not done before. My move to Minnesota involved me in a highly selective leadership development program, which I am still engaged in. I used my skills and knowledge of people to create a youth lacrosse development program for after school. This was unlike anything I’d done before, but I learned how to create liability contracts, advertise for the program, work with school administrators and parents, and organize volunteers and lesson plans. The program raised over $2500 for my lacrosse association, enhancing players' skills and love for the sport. For this, I received the Bob Scott Award, which is given to only 61 people nationwide, won the sportsmanship award for my high school, and a college scholarship. I’m searching for summer internships near Boston or Portland, Maine, and I'm also looking to grow my connections.
