About Cor van Rees

Being in IT for 20 years gave me a broad variety of skills. It taught me that you have to be eager to learn, and stay on top of technology and strategy. I adapt new situations and technologies very quickly, can learn the technical skills needed and can work together with the business to implement the service that they really need. I am known as a real teamplayer. This gives me the possibility to connect with both the business, the colleagues and partners needed to do the job. I’m also selfsupporting, and result driven. I use my softskills to overcome issues by making all members responsible for the solution and therefore get to the end result in a way that it suits all stakeholders in the project. I have mainly worked at projects improving infrastructure on one hand and operating/managing them on the other. It showed me where innovating IT can improve the business. I strongly believe you cannot do everything in house anymore. Cloud technology has the future and companies need IT engineers with experience in this next level of hosting. Earlier positions gave me the ability to guide these projects as Technical Project Lead. Maintaining a professional relationship with the providers makes this possible. Getting the most out of people makes my job exciting, both colleagues or vendors! My main focus in IT is on virtualization, storage and Windows server management and I have a broad interest and experience. A role in between Senior Systems Engineer and Technical Project Lead would fit the best. Looking at the projects I successfully ran at my last customers, the references are there to show that you can ask me to lead any infra related project, or operate in your current infrastructure.
