About Cora Olson

Since producing & self-releasing the Sundance movie GOOD DICK, I’ve become obsessed with producing stellar quality, budget-friendly content and finding ways to make it rise to the top of the ocean of entertainment out there for consumers. Audiences want creative, curated content they can connect with. My mission is to give it to them! My work has premiered at the Sundance, Toronto, Edinburgh and Tribeca Film Festivals. I also organize and execute theatrical and digital release strategies to make sure our movies get seen across all platforms in the US. I've recently expanded into television - working on projects with creator Jill Soloway, creators Mark Feuerstein, Adam Stein & Sam Friedlander in partnership with Wind Dancer Films, and currently developing a series with Conaco (Conan O'Brien's company). Skills include: identifying emerging talent; developing both original and adapted screenplays; nurturing first time filmmakers; casting; budgeting/scheduling/physical production/overseeing crews; navigating film festivals; selling, marketing & distributing finished content; negotiating complex rights deals; innovating in new media. I'm also a prolific public speaker (and sometimes an instructor) on the topics of film production, digital distribution, and the ever-changing landscape of the content business.
