Background
About Corbett Jones
Corbett is a Emmy Award winning Director, Producer, Cinematographer and Editor with over a decade of experience in all aspects of film production from ideation, development, scripting, production and post. Versatile in any production environment with work experiences ranging from being a single Director/DP in a remote location or spearheading a large crew for a day in the studio. Corbett works in both short and long form storytelling with a special interest in documentary and branded work. Branded directing credits include work for Apple, Spotify, Cartier, Amazon, Chevrolet, Toyota, Allbirds and more. Additionally, Corbett has directed and produced over 15 hours of nationally broadcasted long form content for PBS - most notably the multi-award winning TV series TENDING NATURE (2018 -2021) and several episodes of ARTBOUND. Since 2013 Corbett has co-owned and operated The Range, a boutique production company that produces projects at the intersection of documentary, branded and narrative. Through The Range Corbett directed the feature documentary ALL WE NEED IS ANOTHER CHANCE (Montclair Film Festival Premiere 2017) about an R&B group that recorded a hit record from prison in the 1970s. A scripted adaptation of ANOTHER CHANCE is currently in development. The Range was also a co-producer of Patagonia supported TRANS PECOS (Earth X 2021) a film about runaway oil and gas infrastructure projects in Far West Texas. In 2022, The Range was included in the Jules Tavernier and the Elem Pomo exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art with their short doc about the artist and his rediscovered masterwork. When not on the road for a shoot, Corbett spends his time renovating homes in Marfa Texas, fixing vintage cars, organizing his local cycling club and playing sandlot baseball with Austin's Texas Playboys. Corbett is an enrolled citizen of the Cherokee Nation.
