About Corby Stephens

As a highly motivated sports and entertainment manager, I currently have the pleasure of overseeing Soldier Field, Field Museum, All State Arena, Rosemont Convention Center, Morton’s Arboretum, Rosemont Theater, and Rosemont Dome. Previously as a General Manager at PPG Paints Arena, Las Vegas Convention Center, and Phoenix Convention Center, I am motivated by my personal desire to exceed everyone’s expectations, and bringing over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry during which time I have seen all sides of operations. Originally, my bachelor’s degree was earned in Health & Human Development with a focus on Hospitality & Institutional Management, and following graduation I began my career managing kitchens and back-of-house operations. As I rose through the culinary ranks I was able to fully realize my passion for both exceptional cuisine and being a part of the guest experience. After my foray into the sales & marketing side of the business, I returned to the operations side where I always felt most useful and successful. I am able to understand and celebrate the commitment to our share vision(s). This passion helps me focus on clients as individuals with unique needs, tastes and definitions of success. My own experiences have prepared me for the innovative approaches so we can take steps to exceed our clients’ expectations. Years before the “green” movement gained its real momentum within F&B, I was working with a client to cater functions featuring Certified Organic Beef for over guests. My client and team were so far ahead of the curve that they had to be truly resourceful as they searched for beef suppliers within a reasonable distance of their operation…and they did it! These types of challenges are my favorite part of the job – knowing that something new will happen almost every day. And of course being able to look back and smile at what we all go through in the pursuit of our clients’ happiness.
