About Coreen Chitty

I have a passion for creating experiences for customers, guests and those around me. I am all about magical moments, memories and life changing experiences. Through the last decade I have had the privilege of working for Build A Bear Workshop, Sugarfina Candy Boutique and the Rocky Mountaineer Train. I am currently a part time Brick Specialist with LEGO Brand Retail and am looking for an additional role that could be in Retail or Hospitality and Tourism. I am also open to new opportunities that would match my skill set. During the pandemic I worked for Whitecap Risk and Safety as a Screener for Covid 19 Travel Testing. I recently just finished a year of employment with Ceres Terminals Canada where I was a (non-medical) supervisor for Vancouver Coastal Health Vaccination Clinics and enjoyed leading customer service teams. In addition, I was an Assistant for their Port Pass Office for the Cruiseship Season. During my time at Rocky Mountaineer I was a Destination Host for the Vancouver Station and also a Trainer for the various station roles and brand representation. I completed the Train the Trainer course with Rocky Mountaineer and have used those skills as both an employee and volunteer since becoming certified. I have an excellent memory for those little details. I have the ability to make a quick decision and/or problem-solve with confidence. I work well as part of a team and also work well independently. Combining my retail, tourism and volunteer experience, I find it easy to build relationships with customers, guests and co-workers. My over-all strengths lie within training, organizing and team building. Outside of work I love to volunteer within the Arts Community with Theatre Under the Stars, the Vancouver International Film Festival and the Fringe Festival. And for a little mindfulness and self care I love to build LEGO sets, coffee in hand. I look forward to speaking with you about opportunities that may be a great fit and new adventure for me.
