About Corey Aurala

I am an industry leading Professional Engineer with a proven track record of planning, designing, and constructing large, complex projects with technical elements relating to dams, hydropower, mining, and general water management within Canada, Australia, and abroad. As a Construction & Contract Manager, I led the delivery of the Main Civil Works subproject of the Site C Hydroelectric Project (6.5+ years of construction,>500 million budget). Scope included >11 million cu metres of excavation. 3 km of cofferdams,>1.7 million cu metres of RCC, 1,200 m + 600 m soft rock tunnels). Prior to the Site C Project, I consulted with large multinational consulting firms (Golder, Knight Piesold, and AMEC) with top tier clients including Teck, TransAlta, Public Works and Government Services Canada, City of Calgary, Gold Fields, Goldcorp, Taseko Mines, Agriculture & Agrifoods Canada, Vancouver Island University, Alterra Power (Plutonic Power), Innergex (Cloudworks Energy), Weyerhaeuser, Alberta Parks, BC Ministry of Forests, Lands, and Natural Resources, Encana, Enbridge,and City of Nanaimo. In these roles I led design teams, provided expert advice, and brought forward practical solutions to meet my client's diverse needs.
