A dynamic teacher, innovative scholar and empathic listener with a commitment to social justice, I bring 25 years of multi-faceted experience with diverse communities of educators and learners in Dallas, Chicago and the Bay Area. As Assistant Professor of Early American History and Black Studies, I excelled in the classroom, supervised undergraduate and graduate research (including dissertations), mentored students into graduate programs and tenure-track positions.
