About Corey Coates

I am a Critical Facilities Technician at Apple's Reno McCarran Ranch Data Center campus. I previously served a bit over nine years in the US Navy as a nuclear technician, specializing in radiation and chemistry controls aboard the USS Nebraska. During my tour, I qualified as the senior subject matter expert in this field, including leading a division of personnel. I was selected for special duty at the Submarine Force Museum and acted as the Radiological Controls Assistant to the Executive Officer. In this role, I oversaw a radiological training program for over 35 sailors, coordinated three complex maintenance periods for the Historic Ship Nautilus, and managed an internal audit and surveillance program. During my service, I completed a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering Technology through Excelsior University, obtaining my diploma in February of 2025.
