About Corey Cusick

I began my professional journey by attending school at Penn State University as a member of their Occupational Therapy program. My dream was to be able to help people learn to cope and adapt to injuries and illnesses that they have suffered. I loved working with people directly but when I got further into my degree, I realized that I would be able to help these people so much more from an administrative position rather than as an OT. It became clear that many of the patients were taken advantage of by the staff members and were not treated how they should be. I have since changed my degree and graduated from Penn State with the goal to be a voice for the people who are often taken advantage of by the healthcare system. No matter what is going on in a person's life, they deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. Especially by the people who are supposed to be taking care of them. I am now seeking to garner experience wherever I can in order to help as many people as possible all across the workforce and not specifically in the healthcare industry.
