About Corey Goad

I’m currently representing the spectroscopy division in central Canada with a strong focus on ICP-based instrumentation linked to mass spectrometers and optical emission spectrometers. Additional spectroscopy instrumentation supported includes: Microwave plasma spectrometers, UV-Vis spectrophotometers, and atomic absorption spectrometers. I’ve also been providing support services to the vacuum technologies division on leak detection instrumentation via mobile mass spectrometers. Lately, I’ve been providing field support in Canada for some of the newer companies that have joined the Agilent family in the genomics / biosciences side of the business. With COVID-19 international border restrictions impairing engineer travel, I have been assisting with Canada wide support on Novocyte flow cytometers and DNA/RNA fragment analyzers. My previous research experiences focused on use of GC/MS, GC/FID, and LC/MS instrumentation. Environmental organic chemistry focus related to microbial processes in oil sands tailings environments and other environmental settings. Regular analytic lab work involved isolation and identification of various organic compounds, compound specific isotope analysis, and biomarker analysis/interpretation. Experienced with QA/QC protocols for various applications.
