About Corey Griffin

I'd like to consider myself as an aspiring polymath; I can find interest in just about any subject. However, my professional experience has largely been in software development. While I didn't specifically study computer science in college I've found that the field fits very well with the desire to continuously learn new things. I believe my past study of physics in college fits quite well with software development, as both fields are fundamentally about solving complex problems as efficiently as possible. Along with learning new things, one of the most rewarding experiences in my life has been mentoring and teaching these new things to others. At one time my dream was to be a teacher, and I still greatly enjoy helping others achieve their goals to the extent that I am able. Outside of work I have an ever growing list of hobbies and interests, including studying Eastern philosophy, photography, amateur radio, following the NBA, bike riding, the winter sport of curling (yes, in Georgia!) and various forms of gaming (video and tabletop), among many others.
