About Corey Hague

Experience A Shade Greener November 2019 – March 2020 This was voluntary work to gain more insight into the construction field. During my time at A Shade Greener, I had the opportunity to work alongside the contracts manager. I carried out instructions to organise and pay contractors for work and organise and arrange appointments for viewings and quotations. I also gained training opportunities, receiving certificates for 17 different courses such as Anti Bribery Act 2010, Cybersecurity and Cybercrime, COSHH Awareness for Employees etc. Unfortunately, my time at A Shade Greener had to end due to Covid 19 however, in my free time I continue to undertake these courses to gain a further understanding alongside my university course. Work Experience April 2019 Hickton Consultants Ltd, Elsecar, Barnsley During this placement I had the opportunity to learn about Quality Site Inspectors (Clerks of Works) by gaining practical experience on-site and developing workplace skills. The time on-site included shadowing a Clerk of Works who demonstrated how to undertake independent assessments of the construction work undertaken, checking the quality of the build, structural and architectural works. I also attended site meetings.
