About Corey Hunter

As an attorney in the Salt Lake City office of Parsons Behle & Latimer, my practice centers on employment law and labor relations. My work includes advising employers on compliance with federal and Utah employment laws and representing them in litigation involving workplace disputes. This frequently includes helping employers resolve claims involving discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and other workplace issues under statutes such as Title VII, the ADA, and the FMLA. Efficient resolution often comes from identifying procedural and substantive weaknesses early in the litigation process. Employers also rely on me for guidance in drafting and updating internal policies, employee handbooks, and navigating fast-changing legal requirements in the state(s) in which they operate. A portion of my practice involves non-compete litigation and counseling. This includes enforcing or defending against claims involving non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, providing clients a practical understanding of how such disputes unfold in Utah courts. In labor matters, I assist employers throughout the union recognition and election process—whether voluntary or traditional. This includes advising on collective bargaining timelines, contract strategies, and compliance with National Labor Relations Act requirements. Clients benefit from a combination of practical negotiation experience and familiarity with National Labor Relations Board procedures. Responsiveness, strategic foresight, and clear communication are central to my approach to each matter. Outside of legal practice, I'm usually exploring trails and slopes across the Mountain West, either on skis or bikes. I'm also a Boston Marathon qualifier and have placed in local road and trail races.
