About Corey Hurd

As a Transitioning Senior Naval Officer, I am ready to leverage my 32 years of military leadership experience, active TS/SCI clearance, and expertise in organizational leadership and program management to serve in the private or public sector. I have a proven track record of directing day-to-day operations of two naval installations, managing complex projects and programs, and overseeing budgeting, quality assurance, and scope of certification. Currently, I am the Executive Officer at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, where I lead a team of over 1700 military and civilian personnel in providing base operating support services, including high voltage power production and distribution, waste water treatment, and potable water. I am also responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and security standards, as well as coordinating with external stakeholders and partners. My mission is to enable the success of the submarine force and enhance the readiness of the fleet. I am a passionate mentor and team builder, committed to fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
