My name is Corey Laird, and I’m a business educator with over 20 years of experience specializing in accounting, finance, and real-world career readiness. I help students earn college credits and industry-recognized certifications, including QuickBooks, while building the foundational skills they’ll need in both higher education and the workforce. I blend research-backed instructional models like the Modern Classroom Project and Understanding by Design with real-world business examples to ensure learning is meaningful and relevant. I pair this approach with platforms including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, QuickBooks Online, Virtual Business, Edpuzzle, Nearpod, Canva, ScreenPal, and AI tools like ChatGPT, Magic School AI and Brisk Teaching. These technologies help simulate tools students will encounter in college and industry, making their learning practical, accessible, and forward-focused.
