Background

About Corey Maberry

As a non-traditional student, I have had the opportunity to branch out into many different areas. Working as a manager of a pool I gained experience in management, interpersonal communication, and basic lab skills. Working as a caregiver and therapist through college I have worked with ABA therapy, with patients harboring a variety of different communication skills, and worked with developmentally disabled adults to help improve their quality of life. This line of work has taught me immense patients and understanding and given me the ability to communicate with people from all walks of life. Starting off college I was wanting to major in mechanical engineering which gave me experience in Solidworks and Matlab. However, I decided to change my direction into something that would take me hands-on and out of the office. As a geology student, I am looking to move forward using my experiences in fieldwork, mapping, ArcGIS, and mineral identification.
