Corey brings to the table 20 years in the implementation of complex operational initiatives including non-destructive testing, quality control, procurement/facility management, project management, and inspection services, with a reputation for being a positive influence as Seasoned Oil and Gas Industry Leader. He strategically delivers effective management and quality improvement processes while partnering with clients, personnel, and stakeholders to achieve business objectives. Corey is passionate about Golf: Playing, teaching, mentoring, tinkering with equipment, learning and understanding biomechanics, practicing, studying the swing, and the history of the game. Corey believes that there is no better feeling in life than a well-struck golf shot. He quotes Arnold Palmer, “Golf is deceptively simple and endlessly complicated; it satisfies the soul and frustrates the intellect. It is at the same time rewarding and maddening - and it is without a doubt the greatest game mankind has ever invented.” The game has taught him many skills that are lacking in day-to-day business. Golf taught him responsibility, discipline, honesty, patience, respect, humility, self-control, etiquette (ethics), strategizing, decision-making, planning, working with numbers, risk/reward, individualism, healthy competition, motivation, and persistence. He has expanded on these skills for 30+ years supported the growth of other important skills like leadership, communication, and critical thinking that apply in his career. Corey enjoys mentoring and coaching upcoming oil and gas professionals in all areas of gathering system construction. He appreciates that every job has a different set of challenges and requirements. The primary stages of all projects he was involved in were always fast-paced and challenging. On the educational front, Corey completed the 3-year Diploma in Business and Management at Grant MacEwan. He has continuously developed himself by attending further trade-related certification courses including Leadership Safety Excellence, Construction Safety Training, Industrial Radiographer Training, Magnetic Particle Inspection, Certified Exposure Device Training, Ultrasonic Inspection Training, Liquid Penetrant Training, Radiation Officer Training, NACE Level 1 Training, CWB Level 1 Training, API 1169 Training, Professional Driver Training, Ground Disturbance Level 2, TDG Training, and Level 1 Coaching Certificate. Corey welcomes positions in alignment with his present career ambitions, such as Construction/Project Management, Inspection/Quality Control positions.
