About Corey Stanton

Corey Stanton is an award-winning filmmaker and branding/creative director based in Toronto, Canada. After earning both a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) and Doctorate in Medicine (M.D.), Stanton decided to switch focus from a career as a physician to pursue his lifelong love for filmmaking. In 2017, Stanton released his short medical documentary "THE MATCH," which was featured by the Canadian Medical Association. The short doc has since been viewed over times across the globe, serving as an educational tool in medical schools. In 2018, Stanton wrote, directed, produced, edited, and composed the music for his feature film debut,"ROBBERY." After winning multiple awards at festivals, the film is now available on Amazon Prime Video and other on-demand platforms. In 2020, Stanton was 1 of 15 short documentary recipients for the CBC Creative Relief Fund. He went on to produce, direct, and edit "PATIENT PEOPLE," which is now available to stream on CBC Gem as part of its COVID-19 Short Docs series. In 2022, Stanton wrote, directed, produced, edited, composed the music, and designed visual effects for his second feature film, “TRADER.” After winning multiple awards at festivals, the film is now available on Tubi and other on-demand platforms. In 2023, Stanton combined his passions for healthcare and creative digital media by joining Xtalks as a Life Science Webinar Moderator and Media Editor. In 2024, Stanton took on new responsibilities at Xtalks as Director of Brand Communications and Creative Media.
