My expertise are in- influencing decision making through written and in-person stakeholder engagement- innovation, strategic planning and execution, and- leadership and team building.Since February 2022 I have been Assistant Director of Security Policy and Governance. In this role I lead a team to ensure Australian Parliament House’s (APH) ongoing adherence to the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 by delivering policy and governance that adheres to the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) principles. My work requires extensive understanding of all elements of security (governance, physical, personnel, and information) and applying overlays, controls and risk-mitigation to ensure the strategic and operational objectives of DPS and APH are met. I oversee the strategy and development of the APH and DPS Security Policy Framework, including policy production, assurance and compliance measures, delivering advice and briefings, and developing strategy and large-scale projects. This has been achieved through team-leadership, extensive stakeholder engagement and relationship-building, and high-level strategic thinking.In 2023 I started my business, Creed Consultancy. Through my consultancy brand, I provide audience-targeted, influential, and effective grant-applications, submissions, and consultation. This business leverages my ability to understand a client’s needs to produce highly researched, evidence based, and convincing writing. As Security Team Leader I established my capacity for the leadership, direction and management of a large team (over 30 direct subordinates). My time in the role of Team Leader also provided me extensive insight into operational security and real-time risk, emergency, and incident management. During this period, I was also a qualified Operational Safety Instructor. This involved assisting the delivery of self-defence programs to security officers.I have obtained a Diploma of Government Security, Diploma of Security Risk Management, Certificate IV in Government Security, Certificate IV in Security Risk Analysis, and Certificate II in Security Operations.I have excelled in my university studies, maintaining a high-grade point average and gaining extensive experience in research, academic and scientific writing, as well as study-design and statistics. I have also been the recipient of multiple Dean’s Excellence Awards.
