About Corina Manea

I provide compassionate and holistic care to the Veteran population in the Charleston and surrounding areas as a gastroenterology and hepatology nurse practitioner with almost 10 years of experience. To put my patients first, I keep myself at forefront of the profession by constantly adding more skills and collaborating with fellow providers to exchange exciting new ideas and create comprehensive treatment plans. I always try to find new paths to improve patients' navigation in the healthcare complex environment by ensuring their proper referral to various services and keeping communication with those other providers from appropriate follow up. I have an extensive medical knowledge and experience serving for more than 2 decades various patient populations from primary care to bariatric and metabolic disease specialty, to gastroenterology and hepatology. Moreover, my exposure to the pharmaceutical industry while managing the marketing department for SmithKline Beecham in Romania gives me the unique insight into development of novel therapeutics. I am always looking for opportunities to expand my skillset in gastroenterology and hepatology, obesity and metabolic syndrome, work with underserved and diverse patient populations while providing cutting-edge care for those who needs it most.
