About Corinne Alfeld

My passion is finding educational environments that support young people, especially as they navigate the transition to college and careers. After 10 years of conducting my own research in schools, I moved into my current role overseeing a portfolio of education research grants that use rigorous methods. These grants focus on education policy, evidence use, gifted education, dual enrollment, and career and technical education (CTE). For the last 10 years, I have helped applicants from universities, state education agencies, and other research settings develop their study ideas; assisted grantees as they conduct their research; and monitored grant budgets and reports. My proudest achievement is starting a research network that has expanded the evidence base for CTE. Findings from the network’s studies have helped education leaders make decisions about CTE programs and policies.
