Background
About Corinne Cavallo
I have been teaching college since 2014, primarily Composition 1 & 2 courses, developmental writing, Literature of Oppression/Literature II, and Writing about Gaming. For seven years I tutored for Writing Services at Monmouth University where I assisted students with essay writing across all academic fields. I am an experienced wildlife, equine, pet, and concert photographer who photographed Queen & Adam Lambert at MSG during their summer US tour in 2014. Awards: Gold Medal "Frame to Please" award for Best Pet Photo in the Guild Center for Creative Arts Juried art show, 2015. Published photography: Photos in various articles on Cover of the Duke University Press Minnesota Review, 2015 Hurricane Katrina issue. Listed as one of ViewBug's "18 Photographers You Should Be Following This Summer."(2018 & 2019) I am currently writing my first novel based on my life experiences. I am a bat advocate (yes, the flying bats), and I run the Facebook page NJ Bat Info with the intention of raising awareness within our local NJ communities about the importance of bats to not only our ecosystem, but to us humans as well. I love to travel and immerse myself in new cultures. In 2011 I embarked on a trip of my own design to Germany and Poland to conduct photographic research for my M.A. thesis, the photographs from which I use in my college courses during our sections on the Holocaust.
