About Corinne Ferguson

I am currently a graduate student at Case Western Reserve University earning a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering and a recent graduate of Alfred University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomaterials Engineering and a minor in Chemistry. While enrolled in graduate school, I am working as a Substitute Teacher in the Chesapeake Union Exempted Village School District. I have experience working in athletic communications for work-study while in school at Alfred University, where I assisted with the athletics website, media displays, and statistics. I also have experience in retail as a sales associate at Aeropostale and Kohl’s. I am strongly interested in biomaterials' applications for wound care and tissue engineering.The related experience I have is working as an R&D intern at MO-SCI, a leading company in the field of glass technology and innovation. There, I performed analytical testing on various materials and products, prepared samples for different instruments, and attended R&D meetings to discuss projects. I also completed personal projects related to wound care, using my skills in data analysis, and research and development. I am motivated by the opportunity to learn from and contribute to cutting-edge research and development in the biomaterials and biomedical industry. I believe I can bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as I have a background in both athletics and engineering.
