About Corinne Olson

I am a Clinical Research Coordinator at Seattle Children's Hospital in the Cancer and Blood Disorders Center. I am currently applying and preparing to attend medical school in the fall of 2023. I completed my B.A. in neuroscience at Wesleyan University in May of 2021, with all premedical coursework. At Wesleyan, I worked in Professor Laverne's neuroscience research lab, where I assisted in her research on binge drinking, withdrawal-induced depression, and anxiety. I am excited to pursue a career in medicine, as I feel it is an honor to learn the complexities of human anatomy and physiology, as well as a privilege to care for people who do not have the faculties to care for themselves. My time in clinical work began when I started as a behavioral counselor and research lead for the University of Washington Autism Center APEX Program in the summer of 2020. I continued on in that role in UWAC's Booster program in the fall of 2020. Working in a clinical setting has been extremely rewarding, and has also served to confirm my interest in working with patients in the future.
